Flood relief by IzOP

The IzOP- Izinga Outreach Program on recognizing the devastating water crisis being experienced in iTongaati, initiated a campaign to collect bottled drinking water. The campaign was launched in a short period, however due to the determination and drive of the team, an excess of 5000 (5) litre bottled waters were collected for distribution. The IzOP team in collaboration and partnership with the Civic Associations of iTongaati and volunteers of the LDS Temple walked the areas of Pensioners Cottage, Clifton Heights, Flamingo Heights, Belgate, Belvedere, the Transition Camp to distribute as many bottles as possible. The pensioners and residents were so appreciative of being visited personally and water being delivered to their doorsteps. IzOP endeavours to provide the less fortunate communities with meaningful assistance whenever possible and initiative such as this is ongoing.
